Add a product (goods/service)

Products are the foundation of every sale and purchase in Odoo. This guide shows how to create a new product and set its type, price, and VAT.

Path: Sales ← Products ← Products ← New

1. Open the Sales app, go to Products ← Products, and click New.
2. Type the Product Name in the top field.
3. Under the General Information tab, set the Product Type: Service for non-stockable services, Storable Product for goods tracked in inventory, or Consumable for untracked goods.
4. Enter the Sales Price.
5. In Customer Taxes select VAT 15%, noting the difference between tax-exclusive and tax-inclusive.
6. Set the Unit of Measure and purchase unit.
7. In multi-company setups, set the Company field or leave it blank to share it.
8. In the Accounting tab, link the correct income accounts if needed.
9. Click the Save (cloud) icon.
