Odoo lets you export any data to Excel, import records in bulk, and back up the database — essential for migration, audit, and business continuity.
Path: Any list ← Export / Import — backups via Odoo.sh or the database manager
- Export: open a list view (e.g. Invoices) and tick the records.
- Use Actions ⚙ ← Export, choose fields and xlsx, then Export.
- Save an export template for repeat use.
- Import: click Favorites ← Import records.
- Download the template, fill it, upload, and map columns to fields.
- Click Test to catch errors, then Import.
- Backup: on Odoo.sh use the Backups tab (or rely on daily auto-backups).
- Self-hosted: use the Database Manager ← Backup and store the file safely.
