Organizing your stock starts with creating warehouses, defining their internal locations, and setting reordering rules for minimum stock.
Path: Inventory ← Configuration ← Warehouses / Locations
- From Inventory ← Configuration ← Warehouses click New and enter the Name and Short Name.
- To enable multiple locations, turn on Storage Locations in Settings.
- From Configuration ← Locations create Internal Locations (shelves/sections) under your main warehouse.
- Set each location's Location Type (internal/transit/customer/vendor) and its Parent.
- For minimum stock, open the product ← Reordering Rules and set Min and Max.
- Link the reordering rule to the right warehouse/location so it triggers a purchase or manufacturing order when stock drops.
- Use Routes (1-step / 2-step receiving) to shape the movement flow inside the warehouse.
- Review the Overview dashboard to confirm each warehouse's operations (receipts/deliveries/internal transfers) appear.
