Odoo is built on interconnected apps (Sales, Accounting, Purchase...). Understanding how to install them and open their dashboards is the foundation of tailoring the system to your business.
Path: Main menu (Apps)
- From the main menu open the Apps application to see all installable apps.
- Use the search box and remove the default Apps filter if you also want to see technical modules.
- To install an app click Activate / Install on its card and wait for installation to finish.
- After installation the app appears in the main menu; click it to open its main dashboard.
- Inside the app move between its modules from the top menu bar (e.g. in Accounting: Customers, Vendors, Accounting, Reporting).
- The dashboard shows summary KPI cards with live figures; click any card to jump straight to its records.
- To remove or update an app open Apps, click the options (⋮) button on the card and choose Uninstall / Upgrade.
- Enable Developer Mode from Settings if you need access to advanced modules and options.
